Most moms do not get pregnant until after their first period (often referred to as the “warning period”). even after that, while some can become pregnant the first cycle, others will require months of cycles before pregnancy can occur.. I am breastfeeding my 8 month old, he eats three meals of baby food a day and one formula bottle. i still am yet to get a period. and wonder when they will return and the chances of getting pregnant while breastfeeding.. The problem with this is that it is actually really hard to get pregnant while breastfeeding. kind of like, almost impossible. breastfeeding prevents pregnancy around an average of 98-99% of the time..
So, if you want to increase your chances of getting pregnant while breastfeeding do what scientists refer to as ‘creating favourable energetic conditions’. a sudden burst of energy-dense food consumption can trigger the following cascade: firstly, mom experiences a brief period of insulin resistance above her average levels, and then. I am aware that you can get pregnant while breastfeeding even if you don't have your period. back in march 2010 i even dropped down to 3 feedings a day to try and get my period back but had no luck til june. from the first week in august (i probably conceived around this time) i lost about 5lbs in one week and i wasn't trying to loose any. I have been exclusively breastfeeding my son this entire time (im soo proud because i was only going for 3 months & im going on 8 now) i have heard that because i am breastfeeding that its a form of birth control and that i wont be able to get pregnant until i stop breastfeeding so that i can get my period....
